Introduction

Kommute is a file sharing client using the anonymous file sharing network MUTE.

MUTE File Sharing is a peer-to-peer network that provides easy search-and-download functionality while also protecting your privacy.

Command Reference


The main Kommute window

The File Menu

File->Close (Ctrl+W)

Close the current search results window

File->Quit (Ctrl+Q)

Quits Kommute 

The View Menu

View->Search
Show/Hide the Search window
View->Multiview
Show/Hide the multiview window (connections, downloads, uploads)

The Settings Menu

Settings->Configure Kommute
Show the Settings dialog.

The Help Menu

Help->Kommute Handbook (F1)

Invokes the Help system starting at the Kommute help pages. (this document).

Help->What's This? (Shift+F1)

Changes the mouse cursor to a combination arrow and question mark. Clicking on items within Kommute  will open a help window (if one exists for the particular item) explaining the item's function.

Help->Report Bug...

Opens the Bug report dialog where you can report a bug or request a “wishlist” feature.

Help->About Kommute

This will display version and author information.
